OUR BELIEFS
WE BELIEVE that there is ONE living and true GOD, eternally existing in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 1 Corinthians 8:4, Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7).
WE BELIEVE that the SCRIPTURES of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired (God-breathed) without ANY error (2 Timothy 3:16-17). We believe that holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write, compose, and record God’s Word to man (2 Peter 1:20-21).
WE BELIEVE in GOD THE FATHER, He has unlimited power, perfect in holiness, wisdom, and love; He hears and answers prayer; and He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ (1Timothy 2:3-6, Titus 3:3-7, Romans 5:8-11).
WE BELIEVE in GOD THE SON: JESUS CHRIST, Jesus took on the form of a man and became a human being without ceasing to be God (Philippians 2:6-8, 1 Timothy 3:16). He is God’s only begotten Son (John 3:16), conceived by the Holy Spirit (Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:30-35). We believe in His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23), His sinless life (2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 John 3:5, 1 Peter 2:21-22), He took our sins and paid our sin debt when he shed his blood and died on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 John 2:2, 1 Corinthians 15:3), He rose again from the dead (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:15, 1 Corinthians 15:4). He continually makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25).
WE BELIEVE IN GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT, He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), He regenerates us (Titus 3:5), sanctifies us (1 Peter 1:2, Romans 8:13, Romans 15:16) and empowers us for ministry (Acts 1:8). We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is our Helper, Teacher, and Guide (John 14:16-17, John 14:26, John 16:13, 1 John 2:27). We believe in ALL the gifts of the Spirit and operate in them as the Spirit wills. (1 Corinthians 12:1-11). We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in unknown tongues (1 Corinthians 14:2,4 and Acts 19:1-6).
WE BELIEVE that all PEOPLE are born into sin and under condemnation (Romans 3:23, 1 Corinthians 15:21-22, Romans 5:12, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11); that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5), those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9-10, Luke 24:46-47, Acts 17:30).
WE BELIEVE that the Lord Jesus Christ gave two ORDINANCES to the Church: 1) water baptism (Matthew 28:18-19) and 2) Communion (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). We believe in water baptism by immersion in water and communion open to all believers in Christ.
WE BELIEVE also in the LAYING ON OF HANDS, for ordination of deacons and ministers (Acts 6:1-6) and anointing and praying for those who are sick, and they will recover (James 5:14-15).
WE BELIEVE in the personal, visible RETURN OF CHRIST to earth and the establishment of His Kingdom. Jesus will return to receive the church, which is His Body, unto Himself at the rapture, and returning with His church in glory, He will establish His millennial kingdom on earth. Also, we believe in the final judgment and endless suffering in the Lake of Fire of those who chose to reject receiving Jesus as their Lord and Savior in the Lake of Fire (Acts 1:9-11, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Revelation 20).
